Kindergarten Registration Info

Dear Incoming Kindergarten Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

If you have a child who turns 5 years old on or before September 1 of the upcoming school year,  we are excited that you and your child will be joining the Rutland Wildcat family! 

Registration for our incoming kindergarten class will be held mid-March through the end of April.  All registration forms are available online (https://www.rutlandgs.org/our-school/registration-info) or you may contact the school office to have copies of the registration forms mailed home.  Included, you will find all of the required registration forms (listed below). All new students, including Kindergarteners, will need to provide the documents outlined in the Proof of Residency Form at the time of registration.

Required Kindergarten Registration Forms (found in full registration packet, handed out at Kindergarten Open House)

• Proof of Residency Form 

  • • Required for all Kindergarteners - Must provide supporting documents

• Birth Certificate - *must be certified document - - school office will make a copy and return certified document to you

• Social Security number - we do not need the physical card, just the number for the student

• Student Registration Form

• Health Information Form

• Home Language Survey Form

• Race and Ethnicity Form

• Medication Authorization Form – Only for students who take medication at school

• Physical Form – Due October 15 each school year 

• Eye Exam Form – Due October 15 each school year 

• Dental Exam Form – Due May 15 each school year 

The annual registration fee for students in kindergarten through Eighth grade is $80 per child. These fees may be paid by cash or check. *Registration fee payments are due prior to the beginning of the upcoming school year. 

As the start of the next school year approaches, the school will share all back-to-school information (schedules, calendars, open house info, etc.) on the school website (www.rutlandgs.org), on our Facebook page (Rutland Wildcats), and via email to all parents.  If your child will be riding the bus to and/or from school, your child’s bus driver will be contact you in August with pick up and drop off info.

If you have any questions about registration, please contact the office at your earliest convenience.   Completed registration forms and fee payment may be sent back to school with any current students, may be dropped off during school hours at the front entrance, or can be mailed to the school.  Thank you in advance!
