Rutland Grade School
End-of-The-Year Drop-off & Pick-Up
Dear Rutland Grade School Parents / Guardians -
On Monday, May 11 Registration Packets were included with Remote Learning materials for pick-up at school. We are asking everyone to please complete and return registration forms and fees on Fri May 29. For students entering Kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grades and student athletes: dental, vision, and health forms may be turned in later according to their separate due dates, found on page 2 of the packet.
On Friday, May 29, rain or shine, we are conducting an end of the year Remote Learning materials drop-off and pick-up of school items for our students.
Teachers have emailed or sent home lists of items to be returned to school. Please gather those materials to prepare them to be returned to school on Friday May 29. If you need that information, please communicate with your students’ teachers.
EVERYONE will have SOMETHING to pick-up. As a result, we are asking families to abide by the following schedule to pick up materials in an orderly manner.
Last names beginning with letters A – G, pick up materials between 10:00 am & 11:00 am
Last names beginning with letters H – L, pick up materials between 11:00 am & noon
Last names beginning with letters M – Z, pick up materials between noon & 1:00 pm
Please enter the parking lot through the north side entrance, and proceed to the lane usually reserved for busses, alongside the building. The drop-off and pick-up will be set up as a drive-through, cars moving from one station to the next. You will make your first stop at the drop-off station and will be met by a staff member to assist you with returning materials. A table will be available for you to safely return materials while maintaining proper distancing. You will then be directed to proceed to several more stops where staff members will assist you with safely picking up end of the year awards, items, and student classroom belongings.
One station is being brought to us by our PTO and Mrs. Trudy Carretto who have worked together to provide every student an end of year gift bag. Several gift bags will include bonus prizes and gifts. Bags will be distributed in a random fashion, similar to a raffle or drawing.
If it is possible, we would like the students to be with you when you drive through so that staff and students can interact with one another, from a distance, one last time this year.
For anyone who cannot make the assigned pick-up times that day, you may pick up materials as described, at any time between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. If you need to come in on a different day, please contact the school to make arrangements.
Again, Rain or Shine, on Friday May 29 we are conducting an end-of-the-year drop off and pick up.
We are looking forward to seeing the kids one more time, and we hope you enjoy your summer!
